Hi friends! This week there was very little sleep in our household. It was rough. There were so many tears (some mine). We survived. And it’s Friday. TGIF!
Here are five things I’ve been loving!
1.) These scrunchies. They’re skinny, so they’re a safe way to enjoy the trend without going full-blown 80’s. The colors are gorgeous, they’re gentle on your hair, they’re the perfect size, and they don’t experience any wear and tear no matter how much use they get- I wear them daily and have for over a year, and they hold up great! Also great for piling your curls atop your head at night to make them last in the morning. I own all 3 color schemes!
2.) These slip-on sneakers I just ordered from Gap for my guys for summer (whyyyy did the Poughkeepsie Galleria close our Gap store right as I became a mama? I would have kept them in business!). We’ve owned them in other patterns and they’re simply the most comfy, easy way for my guys to get around in the warm weather. I love how they are so classic, neutral and simple- until I have to start buying character sneakers, I’m not doing it! I’m also in love with these ones from Target but they’re for bigger boys! I would totally buy them for the future but most likely, would forget about them when my guys were big enough to wear them.
3.) This book (from my mom’s lending library, of course). I don’t want to give anything away but it was excellent and honestly, I’m tempted to read it again after finishing it!
4.) This sportsbra (for low-impact workouts like barre, not for running). For those of us larger-chested ladies with way too much boob-sucking in our history to wear 99% of strappy, cute, anything-but-functional bras, this was a pleasant surprise for me. The front is all business and not lowcut, which is the key- but you still get to rock that sexy strappy look from behind. I also like that it’s not just a shelf like some sportsbras are- there are semi-cups in it so no fear of the dreaded uniboob. I got this color because I’m a wannabe ballerina but click the link- so many options!
5.) Obviously there’s no way I’m not talking about the most amazing giveaway going on in the Hudson Valley right now: the Togetherish Mom Mother’s Day Giveaway! I’m blown away by the generosity of all the local businesses that hooked this giveaway basket up (over $1300 in prizes) and I’m excited to do a few freestanding giveaways next week as well! Make sure you nominate your supermamas on Facebook (below) and Instagram for a chance to win. I’ll be choosing my favorite entries and having one of my children blindly select the winner from those entries. Good luck!
