Five things I’ve been loving lately!
1.) These ice pop holders. No more cold fingers and no more paper towels being wasted and strewn throughout the house. These were a slam dunk this summer! We eat a LOT of ice pops around here. Whatever it takes to keep the peace!
2.) This album. This is my favorite album to play in the car when everyone is melting down and just needs to chill out, or on my single momming nights when I have to handle bedtime on my own and get one kid down with the other in the room.
3.) This salt. All salt is not created equal, and Maldon is the pinnacle. This is the salt that the fancy chefs use to sprinkle over food right before serving, place in a fancy bowl on your table, or mix with soft butter to be served alongside bread. The shape itself is pleasing to the eye, as it’s a flake, not a tiny speck, and the taste is remarkable- it’s somehow less “salty than traditional table salt. And if you’re looking to create any dessert with that “sweet and salty” vibe, this is the stuff you need.
4.) I had to doublecheck that I hadn’t already posted about this product because I feel like I haven’t stopped talking about it this summer! This is a “throw in your purse” retractable brush-on powder with 50 SPF! The perfect solution to sunscreen reapplication through the day, for me and for the boys. I mean honestly, how did they expect us to ever reapply SPF after makeup in the past? It wasn’t possible. Not only is this incredible little gadget give you a whopping 50 SPF in powder form, but it helps to reduce shine! The color is so sheer that you can’t see it on the kids and honestly they like how it feels on their skin (I use Medium)!
5.) This litterbox. I realize that if you don’t have a cat, this item makes this more of a Friday Four for you, and I apologize, but I encourage you to follow me on Instagram Stories where I share all sorts of good stuff all the time that doesn’t make it to Friday Five. Anyway, this automated box was a gamechanger (and I have to fairly say that Mike has been wanting one for a LONG time but I wasn’t ready to pull the trigger until it was discounted on Prime Day). The only downside for me is that you have to buy their litter and tray every so often (I think every 2 months). But this thing literally does ALL THE WORK. It doesn’t smell at all. And the blue litter ALWAYS looks flat and even and untouched. So yes, it’s been quite a win for us Gattos. Gatto means cat in Italian so that was my lame attempt at crowbarring my married name into this somehow. 😉
That’s all I’ve got for you today! Happy Friday! xo
