Here are five things I’ve been loving lately!
Farm Couture skincare (today I’ll be talking about 2 different amazing products from this line that will make up #1 and #2 of today’s Friday Five). Let me start by telling you about my friend Cat, who I met in Beacon in our library’s storytime when our “big” boys were just babies. Cat’s ridiculously gorgeous (you can click that link if you want proof) and she’s super sweet and down to earth. On a playdate, she mentioned to me that she was an aesthetician with a dedicated following- so much so that when she couldn’t find the perfect, skin rejuvenating products that she was seeking for her clients, she starting whipping them up herself, and now she’s an actual brand. Cat generously sent me some of her products, and I started out using them cautiously, giving my skin time to adjust. After the products gained my complete trust by experiencing the results and zero negative reaction, I upped the ante almost excessively so, because thats what I do when I love something.
1.) Farm Couture face serum. This magical face serum is what I attribute my recent glow to- it’s got my skin looking radiant both with and without makeup. That’s a huge deal for me as I’ve really always considered my skin to be somewhat dull without makeup. Layered under your regular face lotion (or the next product I’ll be talking about, Farm Couture’s face whip moisturizing cream) it super-boosts your skin’s glow while giving you so much natural goodness. Ingredients like aloe vera, hibiscus flower extract, and coconut oil are hard at work in giving you an even complexion and a very natural, non-greasy glow. And ladies- I mean exactly what I said- a GLOW with zero grease.
2.) Farm Couture face whip. My goodness. What words can I use? Velvet comes to mind. It’s both rich and whipped feeling because of the way that it’s blended. It’s made with goat’s milk and jam-packed with antioxidants, oils and aloe vera. I’ve been using it over the serum at night on my face but also layering it on my neck and décolletage area, because it just feels like the perfect product to do so with and I’m really trying to give proper love to those areas with quality products.
Now the good news about the above two items: my girl Cat’s giving you a WHOPPING 40% off for one week only (and free shipping) with code LINSEY40. Take advantage of this deal before March 1!
3.) Netflix Binge: The Umbrella Academy. Guys this show is WEIRD and I can’t nail down exactly why I’m so into it, but I am. I’m not done with Season One but no spoilers please! Who else is watching? Trailer here.
4.) Always in Love. I first heard this song during the cooldown at my Barre class, and I was immediately transfixed by the singer’s soothing voice and the way that the song got under my skin in that way that music sometimes can- for me, when it happens, it gives me chills. When another student asked our instructor Priscilla who the artist was, I couldn’t believe it when she told us it was her daughter, a music student at Berklee with an amazing vocal gift. I’ve downloaded all her available music on Apple Music (you can get it on iTunes or Spotify too) and now it’s on frequent play in my home- I dance around the dining room with the boys to it when they need a little cooldown themselves. It’s like therapy for all of us. You’re welcome. 😊
5.) This coffee filter bowl. It’s probably my most beloved item in my kitchen. I store my Nespresso pods in it and I just find it so beautiful and unique. Mine was a gift from the artist, Virginia Sin, who’s a former social media marketing client of mine. She’s enormously talented and Jay-Z bought some of her stuff, so I’m in good company. I think this filled with good coffee and a pretty scoop would be a great housewarming gift (or new baby gift, cause we know the coffee cliches exist for a reason).
Hope everyone had a great week and is looking forward to some warmer temps this weekend (at least, we in New York are told that we should be)! Thanks for reading and sharing. xo
